What is Industrial salt?
Potassium chloride is a salt that is made up of potassium and chlorine. Potassium chloride is the most important potassium salt that consumes more potassium salts.
Industrial salt is a by-product of potash unit, which is produced in two ways:
Sea salt with the purity of 94% and production rate of 1.5 million tons per year
Food salts with the purity of over 99% and production rate of 1.5 million tons per year
Industrial salt consumption:
Salt industry has many uses, such as in petrochemical industries (production of chlorine gas and sodium hydroxide), metallurgy and mineral extraction process, tannery, textile industry, paper industry, pharmaceutical industry, food industry, rubber industry, water refinement, animal feed, production of soap and washing powder, drilling operations for oil and gas wells.
